I started my art career studying commercial art at vocational high school and continued my studies at Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia, graduating with a degree in Advertising Art. I spent my early years working as a pre-press/production artist for a variety of print shops. After graduating from Hussian, I moved into the world of graphic design and worked in an advertising agency creating logo designs and print ads.

I left the advertising world long ago and have been teaching art for 25 years. I teach drawing and painting as well as the elements of art and principles of design. My students range from ages 3 to 99! Teaching art is a rewarding way to share my passion with others. It thrills me when my students are in awe of what they can accomplish.

Recently, my love for animals has led me to focus on pet portraits for commission. Please feel free to contact me for pricing.

Over many years of being an artist, I have developed my creative skills and have explored a variety of mediums. I have created many pieces in watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil, pastel, collage, digital art & stained glass.

Please see my portfolio for my art that I’ve created, and please continue to check back to see what new things I will create!

And, as always, please feel free to contact me any time to say Hello!

Thank you!
Margie
